What Is Background Removal?
Background removal (also called background extraction or cutout) isolates the main subject of a photo by making the surrounding background area transparent. The resulting PNG file can then be placed on any background - A solid colour, a gradient, another photo, or a presentation slide - Without any visible box or white border around the subject.

Tips for Best Results
Use high contrast
Images where the subject is clearly distinct from the background produce the most accurate cutouts. Avoid images where foreground and background have similar colours.
Good lighting matters
Evenly lit subjects with visible edges give the AI the detail it needs to make a clean cut. Harsh shadows behind the subject can cause the shadow to be included in the mask.
Use high-resolution images
Higher resolution gives finer edge detail - Especially for hair, fur, or complex outlines. Use the original uncompressed photo rather than a thumbnail or screenshot.
